Na simplicidade, na discrição, na atenção de falar e agir é que está o segredo do que é feito para perdurar. Quanto mais o ser humano desejar ser conhecido, se chegar a sê-lo, importância alguma terá sua palavra se tiver perdido sua simplicidade. Procurai a palavra pura e simples, a que será usada no ideal de servir com sinceridade, esquecendo dos benefícios que essa palavra ou ato possam trazer a vosso próprio espírito. A verdadeira caridade, pela palavra ou pela ação, não deve ser oferecida com a intenção de melhoria espiritual de quem a pratica. A caridade verdadeira esquece-se de si mesma em favor do próximo. Levanta-se sem cansaço para levantar aos que caíram. Abaixa-se com humildade para servir aos que ficaram abaixo. Eleva-se em prece e pede tudo ao Altíssimo. A caridade pura só pensa em servir e, nesta prática, esquecida de si mesma, sem notar, eleva-se, porque ajudando ao próximo está servindo ao Criador, que se vos depara em múltiplas formas para testar vossa vontade de servi-Lo. Não é que o Senhor Deus necessite ser servido por vós através do sofrimento alheio, mas servir-vos através do vosso esforço, amor e boa vontade, para assim compreenderdes que Deus é Caridade pura e desinteressada. Seek the mere word, which will be used in the ideal of service with sincerity, forgetting the benefits that word or act can bring your own spirit. True charity, by word or action, should not be offered with the intention of spiritual improvement of those who practice it. True charity forgets herself in favor of others. Rises tirelessly to raise those who have fallen. Stoops with humility to serve those who were below. Rises in prayer and asks all to the Most High. Pure charity thinks only serve and, in this practice, forgetting herself, without notice, rises because helping neighbor is serving the Creator, who is facing you in multiple ways to test your will to serve Him. Is not that the Lord God needs to be served by you through the suffering of others, but to serve you through your effort, love and goodwill, thus compreenderdes that God is pure and disinterested charity.
